Counselor’s Corner By, Elaine Hall Has your child told you about the Bucket Program yet? As I mentioned last week, we are all trying to “catch” the students showing kindness, manners, effort and a positive spirit. There has been a wonderful response and we have “bucket drops” to announce every day! It fills my bucket to know that the teachers and staff are looking outside their own box—and looking for ways to be members of a caring community. I encourage you to look for these positive examples at home as well. Feel free to send me a “bucket drop” about wonderful things your children are doing at home! In order to keep things on a positive road, our eligibility/ineligibility program for sixth grade through high school has started. Students need to keep good grades and behavior in order to be eligible for sports and outside the school day activities. If they are ineligible for a week, we have many supports in place to get students back on the right track. Let us know if you ever have questions about this incentive program. Please feel free to contact me at elaine.hall@ksb.kyschools.us or 502-897-1583, ext. 238. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your children!
